Meet your presenter! Tess (pronouns: they/them) is a sexuality clinician working in hospitals and community settings in Australia, addressing sexuality for people with brain injury, spinal cord injury, musculoskeletal injury, disability, chronic illness, neurological conditions, cancer and more. They have also been educating people Australia wide and globally online on the topics of sexuality, intimacy, communication and pleasure for nearing a decade. After being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at the age of 36 they experienced first hand the sexual impacts of treatments, and also, the lack of supports on this oh-so-important topic. This was Tess's inspiration to use their knowledge and expertise to coach and support the millions out there with suffering or changed sexuality, regardless of gender, race, ability, orientation and health status; because we all deserve love and connection.
As scary as this may feel, you will be surprised how normal (and fun!) this journey can be!
Tess is a registered member and practitioner of, and adheres to the codes and ethics of, the Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS) and of the Somatic Sex Educator's Association of Australasia (SSEAA). They are also proudly a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and Tess's supports and resources are inclusive.
